Our specific quality control system guarantees AlgoritmoAssociates’ high standards and respects the client's criteria.

This client has implemented its own quality control system. Whilst we fully respected the client's requirements, we ensured that the operating procedures also corresponded to our own control measures. As a consequence, we identified the following important points:

• that the distribution of the jobs, not always consecutive, needed cross-checking in order to note any areas of repetition between one job and another
• the types of corrections to be made were often the same from one job to another
• some types of project reference materials did not take previously translated material into account, which therefore risked duplicate translations being made of the same text
• the context of projects was not always clear, especially in those intended for electronic publication

Appropriate solutions were implemented:

• the teams (always very small) were strictly assigned to specific project types
• in some cases the reference material was reorganised
• an initial, thorough analysis of the contents was conducted in order to detect identical texts
• in the case of texts intended for the web and without context, we asked the teams to work with specific memories and to consider the material already translated available online
